A Letter from General Manager & CEO Clint Bullock

Since 1923, OUC has provided safe, dependable, affordable electric and water service to Central Florida, becoming known as The Reliable One. To honor our centennial anniversary, we’re launching OUC100, where we’ll recognize our company’s role in our region’s growth and economic success for the past 100 years.

Through ongoing collaboration with our customers, employees and community partners we’ve navigated the unforgettable winter blast of 1989, the memorable 2004 hurricane season featuring Charley, Frances and Jeanne, and the historic flooding of Hurricane Ian—just to name a few. And, together, we’ve tackled the challenges of COVID-19 and made steady progress on ambitious, forward-thinking goals while remaining committed to our number one value of Making Safety First.

While unwavering reliability defined our first century, providing innovative solutions and being the partner of choice has become our vision for the future. It’s why we’re incorporating more renewable energy, investing in vehicle electrification, and researching various forms of energy storage, including hydrogen and large-scale batteries. We’re also exploring alternative water supplies such as the lower lower Floridan aquifer, while implementing energy efficiency and water conservation initiatives to help our customers save on their bills. And last but certainly not least, we’ve pledged to achieve Net Zero CO2 Emissions by 2050.
